Museo del agua
Objective:
Learn about the influence of water on the city’s history, different extraction methods, how drinking water was brought to the city from the 19th century onward and how new technologies are applied to water catchment, distribution and return to the environment, quality controls, leak detection systems and much more.
Activity:
Visit to Alicante’s historic centre, starting at the door of the Town Hall and visiting different fountains from the period before arriving at the Museo de Aguas de Alicante (M2A) at the Los Pozos de Garrigós Municipal Cultural Centre. Guided visit of the museum and wells.
The museum is at Plaza Arquitecto Miguel López s/n (Plaza del Puente) in Alicante.
Comments:
The maximum number of people in a guided tour is 50 and the minimum is 15. Groups requesting the visit should make their own way there. Length of visit: 2 hours.
